Symptoms we diagnose

When the cellar changes, the wine notices.

A wine room can look fine while temperature, humidity or refrigeration performance is drifting. We diagnose the complete system instead of simply adding refrigerant or changing a thermostat.

❄️ Not Cooling

Warm cellar, long run times, weak capacity or temperature that will not pull down.

💧 High Humidity

Condensation, sweating glass, musty conditions or RH that will not stabilize.

🧊 Icing or Freeze-Up

Evaporator icing, airflow problems, metering issues or abnormal coil conditions.

⚙️ Mechanical Failure

Compressors, fan motors, controls, pumps, drains and refrigeration components.

Why wine cooling is different

Comfort HVAC rules do not always apply inside a cellar.

A wine cellar operates at a much lower room temperature than a home. That changes evaporator conditions, sensible-to-latent performance, airflow, condensation management and how the refrigeration circuit should be evaluated.

Refrigeration pressures and temperatures interpreted for cellar conditions
Airflow evaluated with coil temperature and humidity removal
Condensate drains and pumps checked for proper operation
Room load, insulation and vapor-control issues considered
Split-system components evaluated from evaporator to condensing unit
Real equipment. Real service.

Wine-cellar work from the field.

These are actual wine-cooling systems and installations from our work—not stock photos of refrigerators.

Our diagnostic process

We find the reason—not just the symptom.

Climate Check

We verify room temperature and humidity and compare them with the control reading.

Airside Check

We inspect evaporator condition, airflow, temperature split, drainage and condensate removal.

Refrigeration Check

We evaluate pressures, line temperatures, metering behavior, condenser performance and charge condition.

Clear Recommendation

You get a direct explanation of what failed and whether repair or replacement makes more sense.

Repair, replacement & installation

From one failed component to a complete split-system replacement.

When repair is practical, we repair it. When the equipment is worn out, improperly matched or no longer worth investing in, we can design and install a replacement split system for the cellar.

Wine cellar FAQ

Questions we hear all the time.

What type of wine-cellar systems do you service?

We specialize in dedicated split-system wine-cellar refrigeration systems with a separate evaporator or air-handler and remote condensing equipment.

My cellar is cold but the humidity is high. Can you fix that?

Often, yes. High humidity can involve airflow, coil temperature, runtime, drainage, equipment sizing, room construction or more than one issue at the same time.

Do you work on wine-cellar condensate pumps and drains?

Yes. We inspect pans, drains, traps and condensate pumps as part of appropriate service work.

Can you replace an old wine-cellar cooling system?

Yes. We can evaluate the existing split system, cellar load and installation conditions and provide a replacement recommendation when repair no longer makes sense.

What temperature and humidity should a wine cellar maintain?

Many cellars are operated around the mid-50s Fahrenheit with moderate relative humidity. The correct target depends on the cellar, collection, construction and equipment design.

Do you service refrigerator-style wine coolers?

No. Our wine-cellar service is focused on built-in split-system refrigeration equipment rather than refrigerator-style wine coolers.

Protect the room. Protect the collection.

When your wine cellar cooling system is not right, call the people who work on wine cellars.

Tell us what the room is doing, the temperature and humidity if you have them, and what equipment is installed. We’ll help you get the right service scheduled.
