01 / The diagnostic approach
The symptom is
the starting point.
A cellar that runs warm, freezes up or leaks water needs more than a guess. The room, airflow, refrigerant circuit, controls and drainage all deserve attention.
TEMPERATURE & OPERATION
Understand what the system is doing.
Review room temperature, operating conditions, airflow and the refrigeration cycle. Check the controls and sensors that tell the system when to run.
ROOM & INSTALLATION
Look beyond the equipment.
Consider insulation, door seals, glass, air leakage, equipment access and the refrigerant line route. These details help explain what the cooling system is being asked to do.
RECOMMENDATION & FOLLOW-THROUGH
Make the next step clear.
Explain the findings, discuss repair or replacement, and define the work before proceeding. Confirm system operation after the agreed work is complete.

04 / Getting the system right
The room and the equipment
have to work together.
Equipment selection starts with the room’s cooling requirements and the conditions in which the system will operate. The evaporator, condensing unit, refrigerant line length, elevation change, airflow and controls all play a part.
We work with LRC evaporators and Copeland condensing equipment, and evaluate existing split-system wine cooling installations. Share the model numbers and photos so we can discuss your system.
Room construction and moisture conditions affect humidity. Temperature control alone does not guarantee a specific relative humidity.
05 / Straight answers
Before you book.
A few details help us understand the room, the system and what you need.
What kind of wine cellar cooling systems do you service?
Vivid Air DFW focuses on dedicated split systems with an indoor evaporator connected to a separate condensing unit. We service wall-mounted, in-room and ducted arrangements. We do not service self-contained wine coolers, reach-in wine refrigerators or appliance-style units.
Can you evaluate a WhisperKOOL or CellarPro split system?
Yes. Contact us with the model numbers, equipment photos and the problem you are experiencing. We evaluate split-system wine cellar equipment and discuss service or replacement options based on the installation and parts availability. We do not service those brands’ self-contained appliance-style units.
Should I repair or replace my wine cellar cooling system?
That decision depends on the fault, equipment condition, parts availability and how well the system fits the room. We evaluate the existing installation and explain the repair and replacement options before you choose the work.
Can a cooling-system replacement solve a humidity problem?
Humidity depends on the room construction, moisture entering the space, operating conditions and the cooling system. We evaluate those factors with the equipment. A replacement cooling system alone does not guarantee a specific relative humidity.
What should I have ready when I book?
Have your service address, equipment model numbers, indoor and outdoor equipment photos, current room temperature, and a short description of the problem ready. Book online to see available appointments or call (682) 267-7061.
